I am an experienced and qualified teacher with a First class Hons degree in English. I have a detailed understanding of the National Curriculum up to and including Year 12 and have experience of teaching across a wide range of examination boards.

As a dedicated tutor, I am passionate about my subject and I dedicate a lot of time to supporting students, making sure concepts are easy to understand and that effective learning is taking place. I do this through the use of my own dynamic resources and consistent feedback of information to pupils.

I also provide tuition for students who need help writing personal statements for schools/universities.

I am a warm and friendly person who really enjoys working with pupils over a wide range of abilities. I believe students should not be limited, but encouraged to aim high and surpass their own expectations of themselves.

I can highly recommend Claire to anyone looking to be tutored! After 3 years of my son trying to pass his English exam, Claire taught him techniques he`d never been taught and gave him the knowledge and confidence to go and finally pass with flying colours! Just wish we`d found Claire sooner!

When I set out to find a tutor for my daughter I was overwhelmed from the choice but I decided to go with Claire following her informative quick response emails and the fact she covers both Maths and English ...and I am so pleased I did! Claire who has been tutoring our daughter who is 8 year for the past several months has been fantastic.

Availability: Mondays and Tuesdays - 8am-7pm
Thursdays and Fridays - 4pm-7pm
