Course Outline Greetings and introducing yourself. Spanish sounds and the alphabet. Spain and Latin America. Spelling names and cities. Saying hello and introducing someone. Gender and nationalities. The present tense of the verb Ser (to be). Professions. Informal vs formal. The present tense of regular verbs. Numbers. Introducing the family. The plural.The present tense of the verb Estar (to be). Comparing Ser y Estar. Saying and asking where things are. Prepositions of place and possessive adjectives. Asking and telling the time. More about numbers. Talking about daily routines. An introduction to reflective verbs. The days of the week. Talking about work and/or study. Review of verbs. Learning Outcomes At the completion of this course you will: Understand the basic sounds and fundamental aspects of the Spanish language Be able to greet both formally and informally in Spanish Ask and answer simple questions about yourself, others and objects Be able to tell the time and give personal information Be able to talk about your nationality, about your job, and about daily routines Be familiar with basic grammar properties of the language. Lesson Information : Italian A1 Small group classes Level 1: 10-week course for only $285 ($14p/hour!) Mondays 5:30-7:30PM from Oct 22nd Level 2 and above: 10-week course for $379 ($19p/hour) Secure your spot (max 6 students!) ************************************************************* Level 2 This is the second part of Italian A1. This course has a strong focus on practical communication. You will have the chance to learn to speak Italian in a relaxed and fun atmosphere, within a small group where your learning is our main focus. Course Outline Greetings and introducing yourself. A review of the key linguistic structures learnt previously. Talking about free time and interests, and how often one does something. Expressing likes and dislikes. Days of the week, months of the year. Talking about the time. Present tense: dormire, andare, giocare, leggere, ascoltare, piacere. Booking a hotel room, making a request. Renting an apartment. More numbers. Writing a letter. There is, There are Verbs: prenotare, potere, venire, chiudere, funzionare. Describing places. Asking for and giving directions. You will learn in a fun and friendly environment with people interested in the language and culture like you!
