Sachini

Hi! I am Sachini and I have recently graduated from John Monash Science School in 2018 with an ATAR of 95.40 and currently studying a bachelor of engineering (honours) and biomedical science degree at Monash University. Science has always been my passion and I am pretty good at it. I love to teach and spread my knowledge to those around me. I am willing to help out secondary school students with any science related schoolwork, teach the science curriculum as well as lead my students to learn science with a passion. Other than general science, I love chemistry and Physics. I have excellent records in chemistry and physics in my previous schools and I have few experience in teaching it.

My approach to tutoring:
- teach the required curriculum - provide a range of resources to understand the content
- weekly 20 mins test to revise the content learned the previous lesson
- provide tips on preparing to VCE SACs and science tests

My main areas of expertise:
Secondary school science (from year 7 - year 10)
VCE Chemistry unit 1/2 and 3/4 VCE Physics unit 1/2 and 3/4 VCE psychology unit 3/4

My achievements: - gained a scholarship to John Monash Science School in year 10
- received the John Monash Science School Excellence in Science VCE chemistry unit 1/2 Award
- received the John Monash Science School Excellence in Science VCE chemistry unit 1/2 Award
- received a study score of 46 for VCE Chemistry
- received a study score of 43 for VCE Physics
- received a study score of 41 for VCE psychology
